Message from Fr Chow

Once upon a time, there was a group of boys having gone through a series of trials and tribulations, vowed on the day when their paths were parting that they would remain as ‘brothers’ forever.

Decades later, due to the tireless efforts of a couple of them, they were able to reunite for a common birthday celebration. They were so delighted to meet up with each other even though a couple of them had gone ahead to their next life.

There were so much to catch up, so many topics to cover that they guessed might not be exhausted within the given time frame. But they treasured every moment of their reunion. They discovered that their lives had taken different directions, including religion and politics which would go deeper to their hearts than the other topics. Yet what they saw before them were brothers who meant so much more to them than these.

Their brotherhood had gone beyond time and space. Not the decades apart nor the differences in life experiences from living apart could come between them. The differences were there to enrich their brotherhood, giving it colors, depth, and texture, embraced in one single brotherhood.

Brothers, welcome home! Although we are brothers of different generations, we come home to celebrate our brotherhood beyond time and space. What an incredible testimony for Jesuit education and Wah Yan! What a powerful testimony to our world today!
